The Gatekeepers was created in process with punctuate Theatre’s Partizans playwriting unit 2020-2021. It is co-written by Emma Houghton and helen belay. A 5 min excerpt of the piece was presented as part of the Citadel Theatre’s Collider festival in may of 2021.

The Gatekeepers was then professionally workshopped as a part of Lunchbox Theatre’s Stage one festival in june of 2021, culminating in a public reading. Performed by Rebecca Northan, Moe AHmed, and Ali deregt. Directed by kathryn Smith and stage managed by Laurel oneil.
